Royal Decree No. 5/2006 Applying the Unified Scheme Extending Insurance Coverage to the Citizens of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf working in other then their countries

After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree No. 101/96, and

the Law of Pension and End of Services Benefits for Omani Nationals employed in the government sector promulgated by Royal Decree No. 26/86 and amendments thereof, and

The Social Insurance Law promulgated by Royal Decree No. 72/91and amendments thereof, and

the Royal Decree No. 32/2000 promulgating the Social Insurance Scheme for Omanis Working Abroad and alike, and

The Resolution of the Arabic Gulf Cooperation Council Supreme Council adopted in its twenty-fifth Cession Held in the Kingdom of Bahrain in December 2004, “Approving the Draft Unified Scheme and its Explanatory Note Extending Insurance Coverage (Civil retirement/Social insurance) to the Arabic Gulf Cooperation Council citizens working in any other Arabic Gulf Cooperation Council State”, and

In pursuance of the public interest

Have decreed as follows
